The two positions; the Director of the Moma, and the other, the Director of Photography at the MOMA, are not one and the same.
As to my own impression regarding Szarkowki; a product of his time who had a knack for keeping the conversation about photography, aesthetics and art alive for the benefit of his audience who otherwise, unless slightly provoked might not have had much other than the weather to talk about.Clearly a great man.With best wishes,
